Hello, everyone.
Some time ago, I’ve started filing pull requests for regressions affecting the builds of Python 3.12. Unfortunately, my bug reports and pull requests don’t seem to be getting any attention and the same bugs are still present in 3.12.0a4. Can you please help me get the fixes in?
The relevant pull requests are:
- gh-98636: Fix detecting gdbm_compat for _dbm module by mgorny · Pull Request #98643 · python/cpython · GitHub — that can result in build error or silent fallback to “worse” dbm provider
- gh-100220: Fix error handling in make rules by mgorny · Pull Request #100328 · python/cpython · GitHub — that can result in broken installation being reported as successful; we’ve actually had broken Python installations on Gentoo because of this
- gh-100221: Fix creating dirs in `make sharedinstall` by mgorny · Pull Request #100329 · python/cpython · GitHub — that can result in extension modules not being installed in staging area if Python 3.12 is already installed on the system
TIA.
