How to change my username here in discourse-python?
There is a Name field in preferences for your account.
Is that what you are looking for?

Or that you have what need?
Discourse usernames can only be changed for a brief period after an account is first created. After, the username is locked. The ‘Full name’ field can still be changed.

I wanted to change my name for personal reasons.
Please clarify if you want to change your name (as you say in this post) or your username as in the topic heading? They are not the same.
You can change your name at any time, by going into your account preferences, scroll down to the Name field, and changing the text. Don’t forget to click the Save Changes button.
You probably can’t change your username except by abandoning this account and creating a new one.
