Look back on Python

I am really interested in getting a list of things which the community feels should have done differently in the starting phase of language design and implementation and now is just stuck with us for example: lambdas with just one line.

While threafs like these in thery can be a fun workshop opportunity, it’s more than likely to irritate and hurt people. Most design decisions are a tradeoff between many factors, and it’s not fun when someone oblivious to those factors starts calling your design bad. I would urge anybody in this thread to keep an extra polite tone. Furthermore, this thread does not belong in Ideas, but I’m unsure where to place it

IMO it should go in users.
