Ptython小白请教安装geany的问题

python小白请教大家问题，希望高手不吝赐教：
Linux系统中已经默认安装了python2.7.16和python3.7.3,执行命令安装geany编辑器的时候出现对话框：【sudo】user的密码：
我不知道密码是什么，怎么破解？出现这个对话框是否意味着系统中已经安装了编辑器？
另外：是否需要升级python3.7.3至3.9，需要的话请问如何升级？
