My python has glitched

That’s what it is supposed to do. At least, that’s what it will do if you run python.exe, and don’t tell it what file to execute. For example, that’s what I see (more or less) if I pick it from the start menu. You could type Python language at that prompt and Python would evaluate it. exit() will get you out.
If you run it from a command prompt, with no file named you’ll get that, but in the same window.
You might have been looking for idle (a simple IDE), or something else … I can’t guess how you started it or what you expected. But this is normal.
