EDIT
I’m closing this poll, in favor of the newer one asking PEP authors how much time they need.
The relevant PEP (8001) didn’t change the date, and hasn’t been touched for over a week now. There was no discussion of changing the date here either.
As mentioned before, people definitely need to be aware that they can’t change their vote. But the amount of time they have to consider their vote hasn’t changed - they’d be well advised to vote toward the end of the voting window, unless they’re sure they won’t change their mind.
Whereas I read it as that people didn’t want to bother with a Discourse poll. The quite strong (to me) evidence is that nobody in fact did bother to create one, despite that it’s so easy to do and was last suggested a week ago.
I don’t really care when the vote starts or ends, but there has been strong consensus that we need to get it done. The announced dates haven’t changed, and have been spelled out in the controlling PEP all along. It will always be “too soon” for someone, yes?
That said … which voting window(s) are acceptable to people?
- 16 Nov - 30 Nov (current)
