I’m also +1 on this proposal. Just to echo what @rchen152 said, having a clearer decision-making structure would be really beneficial to me as a type checker maintainer. A more formal specification and conformance test suite would also be very welcome. This will translate to a better experience for users of the Python type system and related tooling.
