Hello, tool authors & other packaging people! I’d like to know your thoughts on PEP 803 – a proposal for stable ABI for Free-Threaded Builds. The main packaging-related points: Wheels tagged with the new ABI tag abi3t would be compatible with free-threaded builds (subject to Python tags like now, e.g. cp316-abi3t wouldn’t be compatible with 3.15) C API extensions built with Py_LIMITED_API=0x030f0000 (3.15) and above would be compatible with free-threaded builds, as well as non-free-threaded …
