Hi folks! Because readers here tend to be more involved in the community than your average bear, for those of you going to PyCon US, we wanted to let you know that volunteer sign-ups are now live.
As a PyCon US volunteer, you’ll get a chance to be part of the behind-the-scenes work, meet new people, and make a real impact on the conference. It’s especially great for first-timers looking to get the most out of PyCon US. Read about the roles and sign up here.
Critical need: Green Room and Session Chair volunteers! We rely on all our volunteers, but these two roles are particularly crucial to keeping the conference running smoothly. They’re also a great way to meet speakers, and a good fit if you’re looking for an important yet simple-to-learn way to participate. (We do ask that if you sign up for these roles, you please do your absolute best to avoid canceling or, worst case, not showing up, so that we can make sure we have coverage for all the necessary time slots.) You can sign up for these roles directly on the Talks schedule: Sign up for an open time slot by clicking the [+ Volunteer] in one of the talk slots for the session of your choice.
Please note: You must be registered for the conference in order to sign up to volunteer.
