As promised at some point in the past…
I’ll look into fixing the pypa-committers membership shortly, since it looks like we’re going to have an extra round of discussions before another vote on this PEP.
I’ve got a GitHub issue up (that will be slightly noisy, and required locking a repository down) for adding the relevant people to the mailing list.

I just completed a somewhat-manual audit of pypa-committers membership vs https:… //github.com/pypa membership. That mailing list is where [PyPA Committer Votes](https://peps.python.org/pep-0609/#pypa-committer-votes) happen. Many PyPA committers are not on the pypa-committers mailing list, and thus are not able to participate in those votes.
This issue is where I'm trying to flag this to the relevant individuals, who need to subscribe to the mailing list.
[^1]: The specific audit steps required admin access on both pypa-committers and github.com/pypa. If someone who has trusted access to both the lists of `github.com/pypa` members & `pypa-committers.python.org` members would be willing to audit what I've done, I'd appreciate that -- reach out to me directly please over email.
