# Self-Introduction: Renato Loureiro

Salutations, my name is Renato Loureiro, also under the online pseudonym loureir-or-not. I’m a college student and software developer from the United Kingdom, and I am mainly using Python for my projects as that’s what I have the most experience in, though I also experiment with .NET, C/C++ and Shell. Alongside programming, I also can engage with technical writing, as I enjoy reading and writing prose, as well as software design.

I’ve already began getting myself involved in the Fedora Project’s Python SIG as I am interested in contributing further to open source. I imagine that I’ll also be engaging with the Python community overall more as well, especially considering “Upstream First” is a core engineering principle for the project.

I am happy to answer any questions from the thread, and I look forward to engaging more with the Python community!
