I flagged a comment but then wanted to take the flag back. I think it was within a minute. I see no way to do it. Is there one? Elsewhere I read that it should be possible and that the default time limit is 10 minutes. Is that extremely shortened or completely disabled here?

I’m not aware of us changing any such setting.
I just tested with your comment. The flagging icon disappeared immediately after flagging, and I see no way to undo the flagging:
Hmm, in 2020 someone described the time limit, and that’s marked as the solution, although someone else said the undo feature was removed entirely:
In 2025, someone again said it was removed entirely:
It also immediately sent a moderator notification, and a mod started moving their mouse to click on it. It would be weird if it just disappeared.
Undoing notifications isn’t an easy problem…
Anyway, as you found out, this is not something we can just enable. If you want the feature, your best bet is to add it to the upstream backlog: Feature - Discourse Meta
Well I guess it could add to the notification that the flag was undone. I’m more used to flagging on Stack Overflow, where you can undo them. I don’t see why it would be a bigger issue in Discourse.
