# Typing Summit at PyCon US 2025

Does anyone know if there will be a Typing Summit at the [upcoming](https://us.pycon.org/2025/) PyCon US? It is not currently listed in the Events, but perhaps it’s too early?

There will be! @stroxler and I are organizing it. It will be on Friday May 16 (the first day of the main conference). Probably in the morning, after the main opening keynote is over; exact time TBD. An interests survey / CFP (which will be posted here in Discourse) and a page on the PyCon website are coming soon.

I am waiting for our events page on the PyCon website to go live (hopefully soon!) before making the main announcement post, but for anyone interested and following along [the interests survey](https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSd3yoIJRH6U5fIK8qWr1sOyFRpJO9WfRlBUHtwZu_uc6Xdhaw/viewform?usp=dialog) is ready now.

The survey has a section for talk proposals and interests. So if there are any topics you’d either like to present or like to see discussed, we’d love to hear about it!
