Unblocking PyCon videos?

It’s been 13 weeks (a full quarter year) since PyCon US in Long Beach. The YouTube playlist of videos still says “131 videos, 80 hidden”.

Can you give us an idea when we can expect the rest? Pablo’s keynote in particular was incredible, and I would love to be able to share it.

Is there some way we can spread the workload to get the videos published sooner?

+1 to this. None of the Spanish language talks are available. A bunch of people who weren’t able to make it to the conference helped me with mine and have been asking to be able to see it (also, the number of people in the room was somewhat disappointing but I consoled myself with “you always get more people watching the video than in the room”). Many of my friends worked hard on their talks that I couldn’t go to because they were scheduled against other things and again the major consolation was that at least I could watch them when the video came out.

If there is something specific blocking the release can you let us know what it is and how we can help with it?

Hiya @nedbat!

Thanks for opening this thread. I checked in with the PyCon US team and the goal is to publish the remaining videos this week.

I see that the videos have been published, thank you!

More have been published, including Pablo’s great keynote, but there are still “62 unavailable videos hidden”, including a keynote and a lightning talks session.
