Using the tkinter Scale bigincrement option

This is a revised version of my answer to an invalid gh issue claiming that the tkinter Scale bigincrement option had no effect. I am posting here to make the answer easier to find by others. (The claim should better have been posted here.)
Official tk Scale doc (many tkinter docs omit bigincrement)
For this option to have visible effect, one must 1) give it value other than the default of range/10; 2) give the scale keyboard focus; and 3) hit control-arrow_key. Here is demo code that works even on Windows, which is fussier about focus than some other systems.

import tkinter as tk
root = tk.Tk()
escala = tk.Scale(root, from_=0, to=100, bigincrement=20)  # Default 10.
escala.pack()
escala.focus_force() # Needed her on Windows; perhaps not elsewhere.
root.mainloop()
