2. PEP 643 – Metadata for Package Source Distributions

Fantastic update on this. Support has landed on PyPI and the first distributions with sdist metadata have been uploaded.

Metadata 2.2 and 2.3

There’s more to be done from Build Backends and Installers, but hopefully they’ll be incentivised now.
