WinError 10013 (those socket permission blues)

I’m a Python newb (3.9.5 on Windows 10), trying to use gcsa (Google Calendar Simple API). Whenever the code, stolen from

Getting started — Google Calendar Simple API documentation (google-calendar-simple-api.readthedocs.io)

tries to run the line

calendar = GoogleCalendar(‘this would be my email address@gmail.com’)

I get the socket permission error. I’ve changed the port 8080 to 8090 in the flow.py file, that seemed to work for some. Netstat verified nobody using 8090. I’ve turned off Windows 10 firewall. I got my credentials.json file from Google OAuth, and put it in my .credentials folder.

Any suggestions for me? Thanks in advance, paul
