- Had our biweekly discussion with Deb on our regular twice-monthly cadence, which now includes Petr!
- With Petr, we discussed Developer in Residence transition following Łukasz’s departure and areas of attention, notably bots. We also discussed communication and how to best coordinate between DiRs and the SC.
- With Deb, we discussed EuroPython travel support for DiRs.
- In our regular meeting, we:
- Finalized the list for the core dev sprint as well as communications which will be sent out soon - see this post for the update
- Continued discussions on the status of the JIT project - see An announcement from the Steering Council regarding the JIT project
- Started discussing PEP 797 - Shared Object Proxies but didn’t have time to finish the discussion (nor quorum as Barry was out!)
- Next meeting’s agenda:
- Finish discussion around PEP 797 - Shared Object Proxies
- Discuss Deprecated F and D format in the struct module in Python 3.16 (use Zf and Zd instead)
- Discuss PSF Strategic Plan
