I’d be nervous about incorporating something like this in the standard library this early into MCP’s life. I think this area is evolving rapidly enough that this would strongly benefit from staying on PyPi. The standard library would, broadly speaking, only be making feature changes yearly as I understand it. Ignoring the implementation work, I think it’s too early to commit the standard library to this.
