Account recovery on PyPI failing due to unverified email address

It’s been a while since I’ve logged in on the PyPI site. I requested a password reset and was notified that my email address is not verified. It appears the only way to verify it, is to login on PyPI… oops.

I filed a support ticket with the PyPI project on github, but there are 893 tickets open - many of them tagged as “account recovery”. Does anyone know of a timely way to recover access to a PyPI account?

I have a token in my .pypirc file for pushing updates with twine, but it appears that can’t be used to reset a pw?

Any suggestions are most appreciated! Thanks. -Adam

This also effects account creation. Verification of emails is broken for at least a week for me. I tried verifying from different browsers, from a laptop, from a phone, the verification links always bring me back to the pypi.org page and the email stays unverified.
