This is just a quick PSA: analytics.python.org has recently been expanded to collect analytics for several more websites, and, thanks to Jacob, now has a user-friendly dashboard to list all of them! All of the collected data is public for your bemusement;-) The complete list is now:
An interesting thing I’ve noticed: devguide.python.org should really be versions.python.org, since that’s where 70% of its visitors end up!

I’ve been thinking that the devguide is the wrong place for the versions info.
It is a useful info to the general users of Python, not just the contributors of Python (the main audience of the devguide).

The info is also displayed at Downloads now. There’s endoflife.date ; for a different audience there’s Buildbot bashboard .
Is there an even better place for it?
The devguide is not the best place to display the info (to general users), but IMO it’s reasonable to maintain it there.

With a link to the devguide versions page. Maybe that’s why “that’s where 70% of its visitors end up” .
