Greetings to all.
I have noticed over the last several years that there are almost no social networks built with Python. Today I stumbled upon this site, where I haven’t been active for quite some time, and saw it is using Discourse, which is written in Ruby. So here’s my question: Why is it that there are so few Python libraries, frameworks, or off shelf community building software available in Python? Now you might dispute my premise, which is fine. I came here to learn. But this has been my experience. Is it just happenstance? Or is there a reason? Hmm I am starting to get the feeling of deja vu. Maybe I posted about this same issue on my old account? Anyway, I am not looking to bash Ruby or Javascript or even PHP. I am just wondering why this is, like maybe there is some core function in Python that makes building such projects more difficult than it would be in Java, for example. Any thoughts? Inform me. Thx.
