I am a noob at this, but when I go to start a new line it runs my code. Tab-enter doesn’t work, and when I try to make a new line prematurely it doesn’t let me type in the first line.
Am I missing somethinG?

This category is for the discussions about the Python language and its development. For getting help with Python in general, check out the help page.
This is in the “Users” category, which is described as “General discussion forum for the Python programming language. All welcome.” I think the idea was to make a discourse equivalent of python-list.
Of course we don’t have any consensus on what the discourse is for, so there isn’t really any way to tell whether this is on topic or not…
Apologies then, I was under the assumption that this was equivalent to python-dev 
Currently the equivalent to python-dev is to post in Committers, then have it moved to Users, and then complain in this thread.
