Distributing PyPA funds to project maintainers

When we created PyPA, we hadn’t established any legal entity or other governance around receiving or distributing funding.

I want to note that the PyPA is a fiscal sponsoree of the Python Software Foundation, so there is a legal entity to handle our funds. It is largely left to us how we want to manage that though.

PyPA as a PSF Fiscal Sponsoree

Now that PEP 609 has been accepted (and is in the process of being implemented) I’d like to propose that the PyPA also become a fiscal sponsoree of the PSF. This would mainly allow the PyPA to be an organization that can take community contributions (e.g. from GitHub Sponsors or Tidelift). Examples of this in action include the Pallets Project and many other groups mostly focused on conferences: https://www.python.org/psf/fiscal-sponsorees/ Any thoughts or concerns?
