(Posting for the Steering Council.)
As promised before, the Steering Council is offering financial support for Core team members to travel to EuroPython from the CPython budget, similarly to how we’ve done it for PyCon US in the past five or so years. This is intended for Core team members who travel to EuroPython for the Language Summit, the sprints, or otherwise to represent the Core team. (EuroPython offers free tickets for committers via its Guido van Rossum Core Developer Grant, that does not come from the CPython budget.)
If you’re interested in financial support from the CPython budget, please fill out this form.
This post is a little later than we would’ve liked but as this is the first time we’re doing this, hopefully we can improve on the process and handling in the future. We’re also trying to be sensibly frugal here. We intend to cover reasonable flights/transportation and hotel/lodging expenses, but not meals or incidentals. (However, if you need financial support for different things, let us know and we’ll see if we can cover it.) After you fill out the form we’ll get back to you to confirm that the expenses are covered, and arrange for receipts and payment info to make its way to the PSF (probably via me).
