Help installing python, keeps saying user cancelled download

I keep trying to download the windows 64 bit version which I did already but then deleted it and now when I try to redownload it, it won’t let me and keep giving me error 0x80070642 - User Cancelled Download. I have no clue why and have tried all other things on the internet and nothing works.

which Python IDE did you install? How did you delete it? Was it by deleting the folders manually or did you delete it via Add or remove programs in the Control Panel?.

Give PyCharm a try. Highly recommended:

It has both a cmd terminal and pip for package installation bundled together for convenience.

Thanks somehow I got it to download last night and found the problem. It worked when I specifically didn’t download the documents part but now nothing recognizes the code. When I try to modify the installation, still gives me same error so I know it’s the documents part. Any knowledge on that? I’m using vscode for the ide

  1. Which Python IDE are you referring to? IDLE?
  2. What was your method for deleting it?
  3. What system are you on? Windows, Linux, etc.

Can you provide a screenshot so that we may see what you are seeing/referring to?

Is this from python.org? Have you tried installing from the Microsoft Store instead?
