when i try to get the launcher set up and running, it fails to do so and will not let me the admin run and select proper check boxes, to set up the launcher why?

Have you install python by runing the program you downloaded from https://www.python.org/ftp/python/3.12.6/python-3.12.6-amd64.exe ?
If so then in CMD terminal does the “py” command work?
I am not sue what you mean by “launcher”, maybe you mean IDLE?
