I propose to create a competition to recruit translators of all international languages to join teams to translate Python documentation for ease of use
I love the idea of getting more translations of the Python docs. I don’t understand what you mean by a competition though? Can you expand on your idea?
like putting up an ad on the Python website for international language translators to translate Python documentation into all international languages and posting detailed instructions on how to do it.
We are always interested in getting more translators. Here are our instructions about how to translate the docs: Translating
If you have suggestions about how to add to those docs to clarify them for new translators, we would really appreciate it!
The index page under Projects has Contributing to Docs linking to the appropriate devguide chapter and section, which says nothing about translating. If one looks at the left sidebar, one can find the Translating section. Adding Tranlating the Dosc also under Projects would give the subject more prominence. Hopefully, translators would translate this new entry, even if not all the rest on the index page, and the Translating section.
