Due to the queue of requests in the PMs/DMs I want to openly say I do not actively maintain an inbox zero for especially the current CPython core related requests in my private messages (mostly on mentorship, getting started etc) here on discuss and python.org email.
I request contributors who consider reaching me to either reach out to other core developers or post in our mentorship platforms here on discuss and any remaining active mailing lists.
As a volunteer, I usually schedule the PyCon US month and the core dev sprints to catch up on most of the active non-trivial discussions and collaborations. I also review code and work on patches in target areas of interest in the rest of year at a feasible pace I can maintain in light of my normal full-time job commitments.
This year (from late last year) due to personal family issues and burn out (I suspect from a PhD), I hope to catch up with things even slower. I request contributors with pending requests sent to me to route the same to other channels that may have a more predictable or faster response.
Happy hacking
