Having easier navigation might be useful for long threads.

Probably, but I don’t know what {{TOC}} is meant to mean.

Apologies, my bad. I have been using this for ages, thought many know it as well.

TOC stands for table of contents. And I have been using it in form of {{TOC}} since I can remember: Table of Contents

Just seen that there are other extensions that take default form of [TOC].

But the idea is to generate contents automatically at desired place.

:thinking: Where would the sections/chapters/etc come from? Or would it just be a list of post summary info (author, date, ???)?

I think it is 6 html heading levels. I probably have only used 3 at max.

So it’s for long posts as opposed to long discussions?

Yup. For long discussions there is a slider and search - it has been sufficient to me so far. Not even sure what could be better for this purpose.
