If you didn’t already know: the pip team has recently changed the way that pip resolves dependency conflicts. The new implementation is stricter than before: pip will no longer install packages where there is a dependency conflict - instead it will show an error.
We have recently published a survey to gather feedback on providing a way to override this behaviour.
We’d appreciate your participation here: http://bit.ly/should-pip-install-conflicting-dependencies
Anything you can do to amplify this survey (tweeting, podcasting, etc, etc.) would also be appreciated.
Please let me know if you have any further comments or questions that can’t be expressed via the survey.
