PyCamp CZ 25 Beta: September 12–14 2025

Hi there!

The very first edition of PyCamp CZ 25 Beta is coming – an event for everyone passionate about Python, technology, learning, and informal knowledge sharing. It will take place on September 12–14, 2025, in Třeštice, Czechia, and we’d love to invite you to join us!

What is PyCamp CZ?

PyCamp CZ is a three-day community gathering in a barcamp format – no fixed schedule in advance. Participants propose their own topics, lead workshops, give talks, or facilitate discussions. It doesn’t matter whether you’re an experienced developer or an enthusiastic beginner – what matters is the willingness to share and learn.

Why join us?

We currently have 20 participants registered, which means a cozy atmosphere and plenty of room for deeper conversations. But we’d love to see more people – bring your friends, colleagues, or someone who’s just starting with Python. The more diverse the group, the richer and more interesting the program will be.

:backhand_index_pointing_right: Get your ticket soon – don’t leave it to the last minute!

For PyLadies, we also have a special accommodation offer, but places are limited – so don’t wait too long.

What’s coming?

Participants have already started suggesting topics. Check them out on GitHub – and feel free to add your own! Here’s a small taste:

  • From Code to Leadership – An open Q&A with Tomáš Orsava about the transition from developer to engineering manager.
  • How Python Packaging Works – Miro Hrončok[1] will give an overview of what happens during pip install, how build backends and PyPI work, and how modern tools like uv fit into the picture.
  • Ukulele Workshop – Kubík Vysoký will show that music-making is for everyone. Yes, you too!

Schedule & more info

You can find a rough schedule at pycamp.cz – but remember, this is a barcamp! The program will be created and adjusted on the spot, based on what participants bring.

How to get involved?

:pushpin: Keep an eye on the proposals on GitHub and add your own – you can lead a technical workshop, share your career story, or start a creative project with others.

We’re looking forward to seeing you in September!
