Pyday 1 October?

Is Python 3.14 going to release on 1 October (Planned)? Trying to bring in Pie for my team to celebrate the release for fun, but don’t want to look dumb if I show up with pies and it’s postponed…

If one of my co-workers brought pie for me and didn’t explain why, I would not ask any questions. :joy:

(That’s not true–I work at home and my primary coworker is a dog. I would have a lot of questions)

I wonder why the downloads page says “2025-10-01 (planned)” when the PEP it links to says “Expected: […] 3.14.0 final: Tuesday, 2025-10-07”.

Probably because the downloads page hasn’t been updated to match the latest PEP changes.

(and in any case, these dates are not a promise)

That’s right, I forgot to update the downloads page, but I’ve updated it now. Thanks for pointing it out!

To confirm: Tuesday, 2025-10-07 is the planned date for 3.14.0 final.

Any chance it could be postponed to 2025-11-10, a.k.a. the 314th day of the year ()?
