I convene ISO/IEC/JTC 1/SC 22/WG 23 Programming Language Vulnerabilities working group. He have, and are producing a set of documents that detail programming language vulnerabilities in general and in specific languages. The second edition of our document (ISO IEC 24772), published in 2012 had an Annex for Python.
For a number of reasons we split the document and published the language-independent document (ISO IEC 24772-1) as well as the Ada vulnerabilities document (ISO/IEC TR 24772-2) and the C vulnerabilities document (ISO IEC TR 24772-3).
We have worked diligently on a Python document (ISO IEC 24772-4) and have one ready to submit for balloting, but it needs reviewers for nation bodies to be able to comment on and approve the standard.
So here is my ask.
I want to reach out to the Python developer list for volunteers to review the document for us.
I sent this document to this small group first because you may not feel that this is appropriate for the larger mailing list.
