Reading TRK and XVGR files

Hi everyone,

I want to read and retrieve datas from a “PIAS trk file” and from an “xvgr gr file” but I don’t find any documentation on how to do it.

If you would know how to do it, or a website that explains it, please tell me.

Are they GPS data files, or something else entirely?

They are from an home-made software (not made by me) which produces a file of either “PIAS trk file” or “xvgr gr file”. In it is encoded the position of one or more elements (in 3D, on X, Y and Z) as a function of time.

I can only open it with the home-made software but would like to manipulate it on Python.

Have you tried contacting the developer, the user community, or do you have a link to that “home-made” software?
