Hello folks,
building for Ardour 9.8, i got this after prompting the python3 waf executable:
/usr/bin/ld: /usr/local/lib/libtag.a(id3v2framefactory.cpp.o): relocation R_X86_64_TPOFF32 against `_ZN12_GLOBAL__N_118embeddedFrameDepthE’ can not be used when making a shared object; recompile with -fPIC
/usr/bin/ld: failed to set dynamic section sizes: bad value
collect2: error: ld returned 1 exit status
Waf: Leaving directory `/home/goondaisy/Desktop/Ardour-9.8.0/build’
Build failed
→ task in ‘libardour’ failed with exit status 1 (run with -v to display more information)
tried to recompile taglib with cmake -DBUILD_SHARED_LIBS=ON
pipx install pytaglib
none worked. Does it want me to recompile taglib or simply recompile with -fPIC in python3 waf in Ardour dir?
And…As for -fPIC: what syntax would be correct in python3 waf command?
