`svgwrite` alternatives

Hi! It seems the most popular package for creating svg drawings is svgwrite (github, pypistats), but it’s umaintaned for more than 3 years now and I guess sooner or later it will become an issue.

Any ideas if there are any good alternatives to switch to?

I’ve found some user switching to drawsvg (github, transition process commit), but didn’t had a chance to try it out myself. Though transition diffs look pretty straigh-forward and maybe it’s a good library to switch to.

Hello,

have you heard of inkscape (non-Python standalone app) - it is a free downloadable app? I have used it before when I had to both create and edit an .svg file and in my opinion worked fairly well (it has been a while since I used it so cannot offer any expertise or tips).

Here is a pair of inkscape tutorials.
