The forum no longer shows who liked posts

Up until a week or so ago, Discourse used to show who had liked a post when you clicked on the three dot menu beneath a post.

This no longer appears to work.

Can we have this feature back please, since it provides way more insight than the simple number of likes on a posting.

Thanks.

It’s moved for some reason, you can still see them if you click on the number next to the heart icon.

Ah, thanks. Indeed the info is still available - only very well hidden:

As far as I remember it was always this way, shown upon clicking the number. They did change the UI to a popup instead of inline display recently. There doesn’t seem to be a setting for it, so not sure why some people saw a different UI before.

It’s also limited, after ~16 the rows are maxed out and the rest are not visible.

Thank you so much for sharing that. I’ve also missed it and always only clicked the three dots to see the likes. Never realized the numbers can be clicked as well :face_with_peeking_eye:

Unfortunately this is true. As of October 19, 2025 the announcement of the release of Python 3.14.0 had garnered 87 likes, and it was a beautiful sight to behold.

As of now, it has received 92 likes, and this is all we get to see:

It would be considerably more pleasing to see the 76 more displayed as avatars.
