Three Weeks to Beta 1!

We’re now three weeks and a day until 3.15 beta 1 and feature freeze. The Steering Council requests that you finish up any PEPs you are targeting for 3.15 and get them into our queue. We’re committed to spending the necessary time between now and then to pronounce on as many PEPs as possible, but it’s always a crunch and the longer you wait to submit to the SC, the less of a chance your PEP will make it in.

Please wrap up any outstanding discussions and changes, commit and publish your updates, and submit your PEP to the SC tracker.

If you have a PEP that is not yet submitted to the SC, but are still intended for Python 3.15, please reply to this message and give us a heads up about what is coming. This will help us plan whether we need a few longer meetings or extra meetings in the next couple of weeks.

We intent to submit PEP 831 – Frame Pointers Everywhere: Enabling System-Level Observability for Python - #3 by pablogsal but this is a cmdline flag so implementation wise is quite straightforward

And it goes without saying so I’ll say it anyway: the three weeks and a day includes SC pronouncement and getting it implemented and reviewed and merged into main.
