My Python got corrupted and I had to reinstall it. I have tried every suggestion made by ChatGPT (https://chatgpt.com/c/6914ee4a-9604-8329-b678-4c8a2fc92a56) including using the basic Windows uninstall utilities, verifying that the Python Program folder is gone, deleting Python files and folders including those in Users\xxx\App\Local\Programs\Python, removing Python related registry entry Environmental Variables, using Window’s built-in trace receiver, removing Python traces manually, removing the installer cache, and using the official Microsoft to remove programs and cleanup stuck installer entries (from the link “Fix problems that block programs from being installed or removed.” After every one of these potential “fixes,” when I try to reinstall Python (downloaded from ), instead of being able to install Python, I see three options (Modify, Repair, Uninstall). I have tried all of these repeatedly. The Uninstall option tells me that Python was uninstalled, but that’s not true. I am out of ideas.
Fixed the problem by running Geek uninstaller
