The download button from the main python webpage downloads 3.14.0, whereas the latest patch release is 3.14.2. I do understand the role of the install manager, but still, shouldn’t the download button lead to the most recent patch release? I couldn’t find if this had been discussed.

Thanks for the report, yes, this is a bug and will be fixed by python/pythondotorg#2842.
In the meantime, Download Python | Python.org has a big yellow button for 3.14.2.
