This old issue is about a similar problem:
https://bugs.python.org/issue32545
The only new suggestion that has not been mentioned above yet seems to be Permissions or Antivirus.
A web search for “ 0x80070643” gets a few top hits of windows update error.
This came up a few months ago here and I think the solution was to repair some custom security config the user had done, but I maybe wrong on what I am remembering.
Looks like OP’s issue was resolved here: Setup Failed Python 3.12.4 - Discord
I am told that the thread is locked and only moderators can see it.
Can you post the solution please for the record?
The thread is locked, but anyone can see it.
I’m not sure there’s a clear resolution: it looks like it was about making sure the original was fully removed first. It seems like there was a partial install or failed install that wasn’t cleared out.
I’m anyone and I cannot
Anyone who has joined the server perhaps
There’s no clear singular solution, other than the series of steps performed, of which its unclear which solved the problem.
wasn’t really a clear cut solution but honestly i just listened to the guy who said to delete any files and then reinstall with admin, BUT i believe the keytake was to RESTART the computer, without this you won’t accomplish anything. And then installed and then again restarted computer and then after this i installed and did the went back onto the launcher and hit the REPAIR option then RESTARTED again and then it just sorted out ig.
