Perhaps it would be helpful to allow users to mark post as “solved” in the Help category. See discourse plug-in like Discourse Solved - plugin - Discourse Meta

Although I like the idea of this (that a topic can be marked as solved, by the OP) I’m a little concerned that such a topic could or should auto close, once solved (I see that this can be disabled by setting the auto close hrs to zero) because, often times, there is more than one solution and as such these alternate solutions would not be posted.
I have other concerns, but these are moot points in the absence of this feature being enabled.
