Maybe the moderators can remove the time limit on the thread? As a general point, I think time-limited threads are a very bad idea for discussions like this, as there’s no way of knowing how long it might take to get consensus, and without consensus there’s no real way forward.

I created this new thread as it appears it wasn’t possible to stop the old one auto-closing.

@smm indicated that the way they wanted to handle this was to close discussion and decide on next steps. They did not change to indicate otherwise, so I don’t plan to reopen that discussion.
