I expect to be cutting 3.12 beta 4 today. (There’s still a couple of issues that need resolving one way or another.)
Beta 4 is the last beta. The next release will be release candidate 1. That means we have to start being really careful about any changes put in, because it’s supposed to be the last chance to fix anything. Release candidate 1 is supposed to be identical to the final release. (Nevermind that it never is, it’s still the thing to strive for.)
If you’re eager to fix a bug before rc1 that’s not completely straight-forward, please feel free to include me in the issue/PR. We all want to make sure we’re fixing bugs, not introducing new ones
